History

“WE DID IT!” was printed in large bright letters in crayon on the side of the office. Wednesday, February 15, 1984, was a day to celebrate. The 161 residents had successfully raised $2.3 million to purchase the park. At Holiday village, the ownership change capped less than three months of furious work by residents to form the corporation and raise $500,000 for a down payment. The residents had to match an offer by a Tampa businessman to buy the park and their determination paid off. On March 8, 1996, the residents celebrated at a mortgage burning party and as of then, Holiday Village became totally owned by the Shareholders.

Our Park now has 235 lots and is thriving.
